We took our first swim of the summer on May 20 and if memory serves the water in the pool was actually frozen on top so we had to dig a little ice hole to take a dip. Do you remember what ice is, for that matter, do you remember what "cold" feels like? I know it's hard with the Excessive Heat Warnings we've had for the past few weeks but there was once a time when you're flesh didn't burnas you walked outside. Ahh spring, how miss those 3 days every year here in Memphis. Enough reminiscing,it was off to the pool as Rowan took her first icy swim!
Since it goes from the three days of 74 degree temperatures of Spring straight to Summer - - when our upstairs air conditioner broke down a couple weeks later we were in a world of hurt. Dad came up with a brilliant (e.g. fun) plan to keep the girls cool during the night since their room is upstairs.
That's right, under the dining room table is where they slept all night. It's ok, we're in Mississippi, remember?
